Discovery Phytomedicine is a quarterly international open-access journal dedicated to attract and disseminate novel and experimental innovations with a focus on pharmacology, toxicology and clinical studies of natural products. The journal publishes research results on phytotherapy in laboratory as well clinical studies, phytopharmacology, pharmacognosy, standardization and phytotoxicology, obtained with plant extracts as well as isolated compounds from these extracts and phytopharmaceuticals
Discovery Phytomedicine intends to publish original research papers, short communications, reviews and letters on medicinal plant research as well as other naturally occurring bioactive compounds. The journal welcomes interdisciplinary papers encompassing phytochemical investigations and structure elucidation studies of pharmacologically active compounds and phytopharmacological studies based on folk use of medicinal plants.
Manuscripts investigating pharmacological and toxicological mechanisms of action and clinical studies contributing to the understanding of specific phytopharmacological problems will be given priority review and publication. The journal welcomes review articles in the above mentioned fields especially those highlighting the multi-disciplinary nature of phytomedicine.
